1970s Aged Shou Pu-erh (Loose Leaf) . 七十年代熟普洱茶(散茶)

Rare. Smooth. Deeply grounding.
This vintage loose-leaf Pu-erh tea (普洱茶) was traditionally stored in Yunnan for over 50 years in metal tea bins. Harvested from ancient tea trees over 1000 years old, this tea carries the deep energy and warmth only time can develop.

Chinese: 七十年代熟普洱茶(散茶)

Origin: Yunnan, China 云南省

Type: Black Tea

 Tasting Notes:

Rich, earthy, and complex — with notes of camphor, aged wood, Chinese medicinal herbs, and a lingering sweetness that coats the throat.
The liquor is a deep amber-ruby colour with a smooth, mellow body and no bitterness. The aroma carries hints of antique wood chests and mountain air after rain.

 Brewing Instructions:

Gong Fu Style (Recommended):

  • Use 4–5g per 100ml of water
  • Rinse quickly with hot water
  • Steep at 95–100°C (203–212°F)
  • Start with 10–15 second infusions, gradually increasing time
  • Multiple infusions: up to 10+ brews

Western Style:

  • Use 1 tsp per cup
  • Steep at 100°C for 3–4 minutes

Storage:

This tea was dry-stored in traditional metal tea bins in Yunnan since the 1970s. To preserve flavour, keep it sealed in an airtight, odour-free container away from sunlight and moisture.

Important Note:

This tea is not pressed into a cake but left in its original loose-leaf form, allowing for full ageing and deeper fermentation.

 Suggested Use:

  • Daily grounding ritual
  • Ideal gift for tea collectors or connoisseurs
  • Support for digestion, mental clarity, and Qi flow in Traditional Chinese Tea practice
